Purchase of US rigid packaging producer The Packaging Design Group / Leading market position in North America reinforced
In a deal the financial details of which were not disclosed, TricorBraun (St. Louis, Missouri / USA; www.tricorbraun.com) has acquired fellow rigid packaging distributor The Packaging Design Group (PDG, Hunt Valley, Maryland / USA; www.packagingdesigngroup.com). The acquisition also includes the latter’s UK subsidiary, Packaging Design, and thus strengthens TricorBraun’s presence in Europe. PDG will continue operating under its current name and become a separate division of its new owner.
Founded in 1995, PDG offers a range of packaging distribution services – from design and product sourcing to component manufacturing and warehousing. In addition to supplying containers, closures and pharmaceutical packaging, among others, the company also offers advice on package design and engages in problem solving.
