Spanish compounds developer HT Masterbatch (Cádiz; www.htmasterbatch.com/eng) has introduced the “Hitema Natur” range of compounds, formulated from a base polymer derived from plant sources, for the production of agricultural and packaging films. The company said all masterbatch additives used in the production of the range are exclusively plant-based.

The materials are 100% recyclable and film producers have reported that processing of the materials is the same as with conventional compounds and results in final products bearing the same characteristics.
