New country managers for UK/Ireland and Italy
Chemicals giant BASF (Ludwigshafen / Germany; www.basf.com) has appointed new managers for its business in the UK/Ireland as well as Italy. Richard John Carter has become the new managing director of the group’s companies in the UK and Ireland. Carter served in a number of positions at BASF globally, including stints in Germany, Malaysia and Portugal.
Further south, Andreas Riehemann has become the new managing director of BASF Italy, succeeding Erwin Rauhe. His previous career also featured stints abroad, including at BASF Coatings Australia.
