It looks like the recent personnel reshuffle at “Playmobil” producer geobra Brandstätter (Zirndorf / Germany; www.playmobil.de) is not limited to the board alone (see Plasteurope.com of 14.03.2016). Effective immediately, Axel Schmitz will oversee all the group’s sales activities in Europe – and will thus take over most of the activities previously carried out by the recently promoted board member Silke Heinrich. However, a company spokesman told Plasteurope.com, that while there are overlaps, Schmitz’s new tasks are not wholly the same as the ones formerly handled by Heinrich.

Schmitz previously served as the company’s sales manager for central Europe – comprising Germany, Austria and Switzerland – and the group said its “successful sales strategy” in German-speaking Europe is largely the result of his successful collaboration with Heinrich.
