In January, Biesterfeld Simko Distribuição (São Paulo / Brazil) – a joint venture between Biesterfeld Plastic (Hamburg / Germany; www.biesterfeld-plastic.com) and Simbras (Florianópolis / Brazil; www.simbras.com) – started distributing ExxonMobil’s (Baytown, Texas / USA; www.exxonmobil.com) “Santoprene” thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPVs) across Brazil. Commenting on the marketing agreement, ExxonMobil Latin America sales manager Mauricio Cesareo said, “we want to amplify our area range, develop new customers and new applications.” The two companies are already strategic partners in Europe.

Since its establishment in April last year (see Plasteurope.com of 24.04.2015), Biesterfeld Simko Distribuição has taken on the distribution activities of a number of leading industry players, including DuPont, ChiMei and most recently also Borealis (see Plasteurope.com of 16.02.2016).
