LEHMANN & VOSS
Chinese subsidiary to start compounds production in mid-2016
German compounder and distributor Lehmann & Voss (LuV, Hamburg; www.lehvoss.de) continues to deepen its engagement in China. After setting up its third subsidiary in the country in 2014 (see Plasteurope.com of 07.02.2014), the company in November last year established Lehvoss New Material (Kunshan). The new 2,500 m² site, located about 60 km west of Shanghai, includes extrusion plants, a laboratory, a development department, application technology and offices. Production of the group’s proprietary “Luvocom” high-performance compounds and “Luvobatch” additives and masterbatches is due to commence in H2 2016.
Both the Shanghai and Kunshan units are headed by Jürgen Heise. The group said that following strong growth in the country, its Lehvoss (Shanghai) Chemical Trading subsidiary moved into new offices in the Chinese metropolis at the beginning of this year.
