The general assembly of the European Diisocyanate & Polyol Producers Association (ISOPA, Brussels / Belgium; www.isopa.org) has elected a new president and vice-president. Current VP Mike Fowles has been appointed president of the association, which represents European producers of the key polyurethane feedstocks. Fowles is the vice president of Huntsman Polyurethanes’ Global Supply Chain division. He will be supported by the new vice president, Frank Jungmann, BASF’s vice president of Business Management Isocyanates in EMEA.
Commenting on the appointments, ISOPA secretary-general Jörg Palmersheim said both men will “serve as excellent ambassadors for ISOPA in highlighting how polyurethanes help fulfil society's present and future needs.”
An affiliate of the European Chemical Industry Council (Cefic, Brussels; www.cefic.org), ISOPA promotes standards of best practice in the distribution and use of diisocyanates and polyols in Europe, while also assuring that all relevant stakeholders have easy access to accurate and up-to-date information.
