After a recent spate of bad news surrounding German injection moulding machinery manufacturer Ferromatik Milacron (Malterdingen; www.ferromatik.com), the company in December announced that it ended its shortened work week, introduced as part of a general realignment (see Plasteurope.com of 16.12.2014), on 31 October, two months ahead of schedule. US parent company Milacron Holdings said the measures taken by the company under the leadership of managing director Denis Poelman have put into place a forward-looking business model and are starting to bear fruit.
“Our new sales organisation continues to further penetrate existing markets by partnering and collaborating with major international, regional and local customers, and our operational realignment has provided us the flexibility to service and respond more efficiently to those same customers,” Poelman said about the realignment. The changes introduced this year also include an optimisation of Ferromatik’s product range, as well as the introduction of new products and enhancements. At this year’s “Fakuma” trade fair (www.fakuma-messe.de), held in Friedrichshafen / Germany from 13-17 October, Ferromatik displayed its new “Elektron Evo” machine series with “Mosaic” control, its full-scale and modular “Ferromatik” series and also premiered its servo-hydraulic “Magna T Servo” in Europe.
