CEO Hans Porat will step down in 2016 / Strong Q3 results in all business segments

At his own request, Hans Porat (60) will step down as president and CEO of Swedish injection moulder Nolato (Torekov; www.nolato.se) when the 2015 year-end report is published on 4 February 2016. Nolato’s board has appointed Christer Wahlquist (44) as the group’s new president and CEO. Wahlquist has been head of the Nolato Medical business area since 2005. According to Nolato, he has significant international experience in marketing, production and acquisitions.
In the first nine months of 2015, Nolato reached sales of SEK 2.44 bn (EUR 366m), which reflects a 15% year-on-year increase. Adjusted for currency, sales increased by 2%. Opearating profit (EBITA) rose to SEK 432m (up 41%), profit after tax increased by 40% to SEK 323m. Sales of all three business areas – Telecom, Medical and Industrial – rose year-on-year but adjusted for currency, both medical plastic components and moulded parts for telecommunication applications decreased by 1%.
