PPA-based “Frianyl” achieves certification at very low thicknesses
Polyamide fibres and engineering plastics specialist Nilit (Migdal Haemek / Israel; www.nilit.com) has received UL94 V0 certification for its polyphthalamide-based “Frianyl” XT4 GF30 V0I for all colours and for thicknesses down to 0.4 mm.
The listing of the material is in response to trends in the electrical and electronics industry including miniaturisation, requiring lower wall thickness as well as safety and temperature increases in processing and final use. The material is produced using halogen-free flame retardants and meets European environmental standards and most recent WEEE recycling regulations.
