Chinese BOPA film producer Xiamen Changsu Industrial (Xiamen, Fujian; http://chang-sugx.ecol.xyz) has successfully commissioned its first “LISIM” simultaneously technology line, supplied by German film production machinery manufacturer Brückner Maschinenbau (Siegsdorf; www.brueckner.com). The company, which claims to be China’s leading BOPA film producer, already operates several of the German company’s film stretching lines.
By using the LISIM technology, Xiamen Changsu is now able to use a simultaneous process that allows it to turn out BOPA film for high-value applications like retortable pouches. Aside from higher speed, the process also requires less maintenance costs and is highly flexible in the production of stretching profiles.
The company, whose workforce comes to 500, said the new line strengthens its position as China’s leading BOPA producer and also follows the global trend towards simultaneously manufactured BOPA films. The group does not disclose its total capacity and also did not comment on the new line’s investment cost.
