Expansion of Mexican rubber compounding activities
Swedish compounding group Hexpol (Malmö; www.hexpol.com) has expanded its Mexican operations by adding a second mixing line for rubber compounding at its site in Querétaro. The new line, which started operations in the fourth quarter of 2014, is Hexpol’s fifth mixing line in Mexico. The company also has a rubber compounding plant in Aguascalientes. Querétaro and Aguascalientes are both located in Mexico’s OEM auto production corridor in north-central Mexico.

“Querétaro is one of our top performing facilities worldwide,” said Tracy Garrison, president and CEO of Hexpol Compounding NAFTA. “Based on this excellence and market demand, we are committed to continued investments in Mexico.”
