EuPC, PlasticsEurope and SPE launch “European Plastics Innovation Awards”
European Plastics Converters (EuPC, Brussels / Belgium; www.plasticsconverters.eu), PlasticsEurope (Brussels / Belgium; www.plasticseurope.org) and the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE, Bethel, Connecticut / USA; www.4spe.org) will hand out the first “European Plastics Innovation Awards” this year to companies “demonstrating outstanding and highly innovative developments in the field of plastics technology.”
The awards will be divided into eight categories:
• Best Plastics Design
• Best Design for end-of-life
• Intelligent and Smart Plastic
• Material Innovation
• Hybrid Product
• Best Substitute Product
• Best Lightweight Innovation
• New Surfaces for Plastics Parts
Companies will be judged by a jury made up of a wide range of experts from academia, politics, industry, NGOs and trade press. Members of the three associations can submit their projects until 25 May 2015.
