Sales expected to grow by 10-15% in 2015 / Seeking acquisitions to expand geographically
Swedish supplier of injection moulded products Rosti (Malmö; www.rosti.com) said a strong order intake from customers should enable it to grow its sales by 10-15% this year. In addition to organic growth, the company is seeking further investments and acquisitions in the high precision injection moulding area by targeting companies in Europe and North America with facilities in Asia and South America. This strategy, Rosti said, should enable it to expand its geographic presence and reach its 2017 sales target of EUR 600m.
The company reported an 18% rise in sales to EUR 375m for 2014, with good growth in automotive, packaging and industrial sales. “2014 was a good year for Rosti, with sales increasing at all our 10 Rosti sites in Europe and Asia,” the company said. Sales growth was strongest in Malaysia and the UK, with a good contribution from new operations at Rosti Tebplast in Istanbul / Turkey, acquired in November 2013 – see Plasteurope.com of 12.11.2013.
The company invested EUR 30m in new manufacturing capabilities and capacities last year, including an expansion of a factory in Pickering / UK – see Plasteurope.com of 19.02.2014. The Pickering expansion has added new moulding capabilities and a new painting facility – making the site Rosti’s largest facility.
Next month, the company will commission an expansion of its Rosti China factory, adding 8,000 m² and extending the site’s capabilities to cover all of Rosti’s market sectors, including a clean room facility supporting the medical disposables market. “Our investment programme will continue at a high pace during 2015 and 2016 to meet booked orders in 2014 and expected nominations in 2015,” the company said.
