Former Treofan chief executive Peter Vanacker appointed CEO

German speciality chemicals producer CABB (Sulzbach; www.cabb-chemicals.com) has appointed former Treofan (Raunheim / Germany; www.treofan.com) chief executive Peter Vanacker (see Plasteurope.com of 23.01.2015) as its new CEO. He will take over from Martin Wienkenhöver on 1 April 2015, although the latter will help him adjust to his new role and successively withdraw from operative business over the course of this year.
CABB is a globally active manufacturer of fine chemicals and customised products and specialises in chlorination, sulphonation and methylation, as well as the manufacture of monochloracetic acid. Aside from two plants in Germany (Knapsack and Gersthofen), the company also operates facilities in Pratteln / Switzerland, Kokkola / Finland, Ahmedabad / India and Jining / China. Its roughly 1,000 employees posted sales of EUR 450m in 2014.
