NPE 2015
US plastics fair set for record exhibitor numbers / Debuting “NPE 3D”
The optimism and growth in the US plastics market (for details, see Plasteurope.com of 23.12.2014) is reflected by the number of exhibitors who have already signed up for the upcoming “NPE” (www.npe.org) industry fair, held in Orlando, Florida from 23-27 March. Organiser SPI (Washington DC / USA; www.plasticsindustry.org) expects this year’s edition – the 28th – to surpass even the record-breaking NPE 2000.
About 2,000 exhibitors are expected at the show, of which about 40% will come from outside the US. The companies will represent the entire plastics supply chain, from equipment and materials suppliers to processors, OEMs and brand owners. Total exhibition space exceeds 106,000 m2, SPI said, adding that a number of equipment companies have chosen to extend their booths from the 2012 edition. Milacron, for instance, will have a booth measuring 2,285 m2 – the largest in NPE history.
Like its predecessors, NPE 2015 will be held simultaneously with “Antec2015”, the Society of Plastics Engineers’ (SPE, Bethel, Connecticut / USA; www.4spe.org) technical conference. In addition, this year’s US plastics mega-fair will also debut “NPE 3D”, a platform to learn about 3D printing through exhibits and demonstrations.
