There is a new man in charge of the Europe & Central Asia business cluster at Swiss packaging giant Tetra Pak (Lausanne; www.tetrapak.com). On 1 January, Charles Héaulmé took over as vice president of the division, which oversees 55 countries, 43 sales offices, 13 production sites and 4,550 employees, and last posted sales of EUR 3.5 bn. He succeeds Adolfo Orive, who now oversees the group’s business in North, Central and Latin America.
The economic setting in Europe and Central Asia region is a constantly changing one for the beverage carton producer. Not only does it face competition from other suppliers, consumption of milk, juice and soft drinks is also declining. Héaulmé’s tasks will include driving growth and increasing the company’s competitive profile.
Héaulmé first joined Tetra Pak in 1999 and has held a number of positions within the company since. He most recently served as managing director of Tetra Pak Iberia.
