On 1 January 2015, Michael Krueger took over as CEO of Swiss injection moulder Corvaglia (Eschlikon; www.corvaglia.ch). He succeeds founder and owner Romeo Corvaglia, who will in future only support operational activities and plans to withdraw from them in 2016. He will, however, remain on the company’s board of directors.
Krueger first joined the beverage closures producer in 2012 as chief technology officer, a position he will retain for the time being until a successor is found. A year ago he was given the additional responsibility of overseeing the operations of and managing the staff at Corvaglia Mould.
Corvaglia produces closures for PET bottles. Its roughly 250 employees are spread across locations in Switzerland and Mexico and last posted sales of about CHF 60m (EUR 50m).
