First US production site officially inaugurated

It is official: After moving into its new US offices in May (see Plasteurope.com of 16.04.2014), Greiner Packaging International (GPI, Kremsmünster / Austria; www.greiner-gpi.com) on 29 October officially inaugurated its first operation in the US, located in Pittston, Pennsylvania. The facility will produce a range of packaging solutions for the dairy and food product markets, using GPI’s proprietary “K3” technology, among others. The site will be managed by Michael Reiser.
The Austrian group said the entry into the US market marks yet another step on its path from turning from a European provider into a global one.
