SYNCRO
Acquisition of UK recycling machinery manufacturer Plasmac
Italian process control and automation systems company Syncro (Busto Arsizio Varese) has acquired a majority shareholding in the UK’s Plasmac (Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire; www.plasmac.co.uk), a manufacturer of recycling machinery for blown and cast film. The size of the stake was not revealed.

Plasmac’s president, Dave Thomas, commented: “This move will be good for Plasmac. Using the Syncro sales network will open up markets in areas that, to date, have not been easily accessible and also enable the company to expand its supplier base into Europe.” He added that all existing employees will be retained and plans are in hand to further increase staffing levels.
