CEO Gallogly to retire in early 2015

There will be a change at the helm of polyolefins giant LyondellBasell Industries (LBI, Rotterdam / The Netherlands; www.lyondellbasell.com) early next year, with current CEO James L. Gallogly set to retire. The company’s board has already formed a committee tasked with finding a successor.
Gallogly oversaw the company’s emergence from bankruptcy (see Plasteurope.com of 12.03.2010) and just last year was given a new contract – see Plasteurope.com of 25.09.2013. The Dutch company in May expanded its management board, chaired by Gallogly. Other members include executive vice president and CFO Craig B. Glidden, executive vice president and CFO Karyn F. Ovelmen, executive vice president – Olefins & Polyolefins EAI and Technology Bhavesh V. Patel, executive vice president – Olefins & Polyolefins Americas Timothy D. Roberts, and senior vice president – Intermediates and Derivatives Patrick D. Quarles.
