German protective packaging specialist Storopack (Metzingen; www.storopack.com) has significantly expanded its activities in the sunshine state of Florida / USA over the course of the past few months. After having in April acquired a majority share in both Action Corrugated Supply (Tampa, Florida / USA; www.actioncorrugated.com) and Specialty Converting (Opa Locka, Florida / USA) – which now operate together under Action Specialty Packaging – the group in July followed up with the purchase of the industrial packaging division of CleanPak Products (Tampa, Florida / USA; www.cleanpakproducts.com). Financial details of either deal were not disclosed.

All three US companies now under the Storopack fold specialise in redistribution products, including bubble film and bubble-lined mailers, as well as rolled foam, paper rolls and corrugated boxes. The move strengthens its position in Florida and the US “as most complete manufacturer and supplier of equipment-based and non-equipment-based protective packaging solutions,” Storopack said.
