In a deal the financial details of which were not disclosed, UK plastics raw materials distributor Plastribution (Ashby, Leicestershire / UK; www.plastribution.co.uk) has acquired flexible and rigid films producer Armstrong Bradley (Sanbach, Cheshire / UK; www.armstrongbradley.com).

Local media report that the business will become part of Plastribution’s Plasfilms business unit, providing synergies that the distributor hopes will yield better opportunities for sales of films, labels and flexible packaging. For now, Armstrong Bradley will operate alongside Plasfilms, Plastribution’s film distribution business.

All employees of the Cheshire-based firm are to stay on. Armstrong Bradley’s portfolio includes OPP, PET, calendared U-PVC, CPP, HDPE, labels, APET, shrink film, HIPS and plasticised PVC, among others.
