Introducing “Infinity SeriesTM” drum series made of recycled plastics
Not even a month after announcing the opening of its new recycling facility in Erkelenz / Germany (see Plasteurope.com of 21.02.2014), German industrial packaging specialist Mauser (Brühl; www.mausergroup.com) has launched its new “Infinity SeriesTM” plastic drums made of post-consumer resin. The UN approved drums are available with open top drum design “O-Top” from 30-220 l and as the 220 l tight head drum “L Ring Plus”. The drums, which have been approved for the transportation of hazardous waste and comply with DIN EN ISO 16103:2005, come in standardised dimensions similar to Mauser’s virgin material drums, making it easier for customers to transition to “Infinity SeriesTM”.

“We are proud to introduce this new drum series produced from recycled plastic materials in such a short time period after start-up of our recycling centre in Erkelenz,” said Axel Schaefer, Mauser’s head of Product Group Management.

The group initially plans to focus the marketing of the new series on the Benelux countries as well as Germany and Italy, but said it is flexible about expanding the projects to other countries, too. The roll-out of the post-consumer resin-based portfolio is part of Mauser’s “Eco-Cycle” sustainability initiative.
