Independent compounder SO.F.TER (Forli / Italy; www.softergroup.com) and Dutch distributor IMCD (Rotterdam; www.imcdgroup.com) have recently signed an exclusive agreement for South Africa, which includes the entire package of the Italian compounder's thermoplastic elastomers as well as a wide range of engineering plastics.

IMCD already has an existing partnership with the Italians for the Benelux region, which has been leveraged in signing the new deal, which has immediate effect. The globally active compounder mutually benefits from the Dutch company's deep knowledge of the local South African market as well as their extensive customer base

"This agreement allows us to further expand our distribution network, in line with our strategic objective to be recognised as a global supplier," explained Riccardo Meucci, global commercial director at SO.F.TER.
