Custom compounder Teknor Apex (Pawtucket, Rhode Island / USA; www.teknorapex.com) has expanded its PA compounds portfolio in Europe to include formulations developed in the US. The entire range will be available under the "Chemlon" brand. Teknor Apex stated its PA offerings now include UK-developed compounds previously under the "Beetle" brand as well as compounds developed in the US. The company supplies European customers from its UK plant in Oldbury, where it currently produces Chemlon PA compounds developed in the UK and the US.

Steven Dunn, European sales and marketing director for the engineering thermoplastics division, said Teknor Apex can supply identical PA formulations worldwide, from its facilities in the UK, US and Singapore. "Combining all of these PA offerings under the Chemlon brand benefits our increasingly globalised customer base by facilitating the transfer of grades and approvals around the world," he added. The company will continue to manufacture PBT, PET, and PP compounds under the “Beetle” brand.
