ERGIS
New production line for Polish stretch films specialist
An additional line for the production of multi-layer PE stretch film with nano layers is in the process of being installed by Polish film specialist Ergis-Eurofilms (Warsaw; www.ergis-eurofilms.eu) at its site in Olawa near the city of Wroclaw. The company has invested roughly EUR 4.3m in the new line, which will produce "nanoErgis" film and is being supplied by Windmöller & Hölscher (W&H, Lengerich / Germany; www.wuh-group.com), a packaging machinery specialist. Start-up is scheduled for the first quarter of 2014.
The decision to add capacity is in response to the growing demand for thin industrial packaging films, which helped to boost the plastics processing group's revenues by 7.5% in the first three quarters of 2013.
In another move, the company has also relocated its process line for the production of rigid PVC film and PVC/PE laminates from Berlin / Germany to the northern Polish town of Wabrzezno and restarting the process line at the site to handle the increasing number of orders for rigid PVC and PVC/PE films. The company also plans to launch the sales of products from the process line in the first quarter of the year as well.
