Long-term additives supply agreement with BASF
Sibur (Moscow / Russia; www.sibur.ru) has signed a long-term agreement with German chemicals major BASF (Ludwigshafen; www.basf.com) for the supply of additives used in polymer production and processing at the Russian petrochemical company’s facilities. The deal covers additives used to produce PP, PE, synthetic rubbers, TPEs and ABS, with BASF also providing technical support.

The two companies are planning to develop advanced materials through collaborating in projects to improve properties of elastomers and TPEs. Additionally, Sibur is currently undertaking a project for the development of a PP product for use in the production of non-woven fabrics.
