Sales of Mexican and Chinese business activities complete
Swiss injection mould maker Adval Tech (Niederwangen; www.awm.ch) has completed the sale of both its Mexican business activities and its Chinese medical technologies to US outsourcing provider Phillips-Medisize (Hudson, Wisconsin; www.phillipsplastics.com) at the end of August – see Plasteurope.com of 30.07.2013. With the announcement, the Swiss company reiterated that the move is in line with its new strategy to focus on mould making and selected activities within the components business.
The Midwestern-based company now takes on the roughly 350 employees from Omni Manufacturing Services in Querétaro / Mexico as well as from Adval Tech Medical in Suzhou / China. Adval Tech also restated the sale does not include the Grenchen / Switzerland location of its subsidiary Teuscher Kunststofftechnik.
