Composites Europe 2013: Focus on innovations for large-volume production at September event
This year's edition of "Composites Europe" (www.composites-europe.com) in Stuttgart / Germany from 17-19 September, will have a new component to offer visitors and exhibitors when the "Hybrid Expo" (www.hybrid-expo.de) makes its debut at Messe Stuttgart, the city's exhibition centre.
Concurrent with "Composites Europe", the "Hybrid Expo" focuses on process acceleration in the production of metal-plastic composites, the integration of production processes, weight reduction as well as the resource-saving use of materials. Beyond electronics, the new event primarily features automotive construction and the white goods segment. The entire supply chain, from material research to processing procedures, machinery and tools through to the finished component, is all in the mix.

As for the composites exhibition, more than 400 exhibitors from 28 countries have registered for the upcoming annual event. Once again, the international composites conference sponsored by the AVK Federation for Reinforced Plastics (Frankfurt; www.avk-tv.de/) will kick off the overall international exhibition on 16-17 September. Organisers are expecting more than 10,000 visitors to the fair.
Another highlight is the "Composites Forum" which features a series of lectures organised and hosted again by VDMA Forum Composite Technology and the Institute of Plastics Processing (IKV) from the RWTH Aachen University. Presentations focus on industry basics, trends and innovations from various materials and application fields.
