UPONOR
Follow-up: Joint venture plan with KWH Group will go to Finnish Market Court
The Finnish pipe groups Uponor (Vantaa; www.uponor.com) and KHW Group (Vasaa; www.kwhpipe.com) have agreed on submitting a reply to the Finnish Market Court and continue their plan to establish a joint venture company combining both companies’ pipe infrastructure businesses. The plan, announced in September 2012, has subsequently been analysed by the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority. On 25 February 2013 the authority proposed to the Market Court that the jv should not be approved (see Plasteurope.com of 26.02.2013).

The Market Court will process the Competition Authority’s proposal within a period of three months, as defined by law, ending on 25 May 2013.
