Acquisition of Dow Chemical's tin stabilisers and lubricant business
US performance chemicals and plastics producer PMC Group (Mount Laurel, New Jersey; www.pmc-group.com) has acquired the global methyl tin stabilisers and solid lubricants business of Dow Chemical (Midland, Michigan / USA; www.dow.com). The business comprises organotin and heavy-metal free organic polymer stabilisers, polymer lubricants and multi-component package product lines sold under brand names including “Advastab” stabilisers, “Advalube” lubricants and “Advawax” waxes as well as “Advapak” one-pak blends. The transaction includes the world-scale manufacturing facility for the additive products, used for PVC profiles and sidings, pipes and fittings, bottles and food containres in Cincinnati, Ohio / USA.
