After first bringing its marketing and sales structure under one roof in China and the Americas (see also Plasteurope.com of 05.10.2012), German machinery maker KraussMaffei (KM, Munich; www.kraussmaffei.com) has now announced that effective 1 January 2013, its Netstal UK affiliate would come under the organisational umbrella of KraussMaffei UK. The measure includes a move from Netstal UK’s offices in Stone, Staffordshire to Warrington, Cheshire.

Under the management of Mike Bate, KraussMaffei UK will continue to ensure the independent market presence of the Netstal, KM and KraussMaffei Berstorff brands. The move, Bate said, would bundle employee expertise and skills, strengthen the group’s brand portfolio and improve its products and services range. The company also would be able to better exploit existing synergies, he added. Netstal’s warehouse in Stone is to be moved to Warrington in the next two months.

Ahead of the move, Nigel Baker, former managing director of Netstal Ltd, stepped down from his position and left the company. In the wake of his departure, KM sales director Richard Mumford has assumed the management responsibilities for both the Netstal and KraussMaffei injection moulding machinery brands.
