“NPE” 2015 to be held in Orlando / SPI announces organising committees
Although the event is still three years away, SPI: The Plastics Industry Trade Association (Washington DC / USA; www.plasticsindustry.org) already has published the dates for the next triennial “NPE” (www.npe.org) fair. The leading US plastics exhibition will take place in the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida from 23-27 March 2015.

Aside from the location and the date, SPI also announced the chairpersons for the event. Davis-Standard (DS, Pawcatuck, Connecticut / USA; www.davis-standard.com) Extrusion Systems president Jim Murphy will head the committee that will help SPI organise the event. He will be supported in his role as chairman by vice-chairman Glenn Anderson, who is a senior vice president at Milacron (Cincinnati, Ohio / USA; www.milacron.com).
The executive committee headed by Murphy and Anderson will also include chairpersons of three subcommittees, including a new content committee that will oversee issues such as new technology, educational programmes, special events as well as the 3rd International Plastics Design Competition. Chairman of the new committee will be Nypro (Clinton, Massachusetts / USA; www.nypro.com) technology director Michael McGee, who will be supported by vice chairman Robert Janeczko of i2Tech (West Des Moines, Iowa / USA; www.i2-tech.com).
The operations sub-committee will be headed by Industrial Heater Corporation (Cheshire, Connecticut / USA; www.industrialheater.com) president Thomas McGwire, who is supported by vice chairman Larry Doyle, the president of Conair Group (Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania / USA; www.conairgroup.com). As for the marketing and sales subcommittee, it will be headed by Christopher Parrillo, sales manager at Yushin America (Cranston, Rhode Island / USA; www.yushinamerica.com) and vice chairman Stephen Montalto, sales and marketing director at Parkinson Technologies (Woonsocket, Rhode Island / USA; www.parkinsontechnologies.com).
More than 1,900 exhibitors showcased their products at this year’s “NPE”. According to SPI, of the more than 55,000 visitors, 40% came from abroad – for more details, see also Plasteurope.com of 13.04.2012.
