FRANCESCO FRANCESCHETTI ELASTOMERI
Low density, high impact resistance compounds introduced
Francesco Franceschetti Elastomeri (Corte Franca / Italy; www.f-franceschetti.it) has introduced the “Irfran” family of TPE / TPO compounds, offering high toughness and impact resistance at low temperatures. The materials are low density, at 0.9g / cm3, and have low processing temperatures combined with high fluidity, allowing the design of lightweight parts with reduced production costs, the company said, adding that they are also not liable to stress cracking failure due to mould stresses.

All “Irfran” grades are approved for food contact and can be used in a wide range of applications including sportswares, appliances, personal protective equipment, safety devices, toys, sheets, car and motorcycle components and accessories, luggage and containers for storage and handling at low temperatures.
