Russian Union of Composites Manufacturers joins EuCIA
In a move aimed at further developing its members activities, the Russian Union of Composites Manufacturers (UNMC, Moscow; www.english.uncm.ru) in mid-May joined the European Composites Industry Association (EuCIA, Brussels / Belgium; www.eucia.org). Commenting on the decision to join the European composites umbrella association, UNMC executive director Sergey Vetohin said the entrance would allow UNMC members the “possibility for coming into the European market” while simultaneously providing the framework for new business contacts with European manufacturers and technology developers.
Founded in 2004, UNMC represents more than 30 Russian composites manufacturers and industry groups. The Moscow-based association aims to consolidate the composites industry in Russia and streamline efforts to create a more favourable business atmosphere.
