Belgian distributor and compounder expands its US business
In a transaction the financial details of which were not disclosed, Belgium’s Ravago (Arendonk; www.ravago.com) recently acquired fellow distributor and compounder Amco Plastic Materials (Farmingdale, New York / USA; www.amco.ws), a company spokesman confirmed to Plasteurope.com.

The US company operates 14 compounding lines, focused on turning out products for antimicrobial and unforgeable applications. Following the acquisition, the US company, whose 90 employees last generated revenues of about USD 150m, will operate as Amco Distribution and will constitute an integral part of Ravago Holdings America (Orlando, Florida / USA). Ravago operates compounding lines in Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee and Texas and its US holding also comprises distributor Muehlstein (Norwalk, Connecticut / USA; www.muehlstein.com).
