The leading “Fakuma” (www.fakuma-messe.de) plastics processing trade fair will be held in Friedrichshafen / Germany for the 21st time this year from 18 to 22 October 2011. Organiser P.E. Schall (Frickenhausen / Germany; www.schall-messen.de) believes the event will see more than 1,600 exhibitors. Two months before the fair is scheduled to take place, Schall has already assigned exhibition space to 1,564 companies – about 20 more than registered for the last event held in 2009. Demand for exhibition space is particularly strong from foreign companies, the organiser claims, adding that the Friedrichshafen fairground halls had already been filled and additional space was currently being assigned.

The key theme at this year’s event is medical technology. A separate 500 m² theme park will showcase the latest innovations and technological trends for “Plastics used in Medical Technology”.
