Giovanni Canetta appointed new CEO of BOPP manufacturer Treofan
Following the resignation for personal reasons of Carlo Ranucci as managing director of biaxially oriented polypropylene film (BOPP) manufacturer Treofan (Raunheim / Germany; www.treofan.com), the company’s advisory board has named Giovanni Canetta the new group CEO. Over the last two years, the latter had been representing leading Treofan shareholder Management & Capitali (Milan / Italy; www.management-capitali.com), and in this capacity had worked together closely with Ranucci.
Treofan manufactures some 200,000 t/y of film at four sites in Europe and America. The German group had sold its Belgian subsidiary to Crystal Amaranth late last year – see Plasteurope.com of 13.10.2010.
