In order to meet the growing demands of its increasingly global customer base, polymer additives manufacturer Songwon Industrial (Ulsan / Korea; www.songwonind.com) has announced several changes to its organisational structure, all of which took effect on 1 January 2011.

Reporting directly to CEO Jongho Park is new COO Maurizio Butti, who also serves as interim executive vice president of Manufacturing and Engineering. Reporting directly to Butti will be Hans-Peter Wüest, the new group CFO; Dieter Morath, who has been named executive vice president Business Management; Jim McGinley, now executive VP of Business Management; Philippe Schlaepfer, who remains in his position as executive VP Corporate Development; as well as DK Park, who also stays on as head of Research and Development. Butti said the company is working to finalise all other organisational changes, which it hopes to wrap up by the end of spring.

The new structure also includes a group executive committee, which will be composed of Jongho Park, consultant DB Park, Butti, Wüest, Morath, McGinley and Schlaepfer.
