LyondellBasell technology selected for Mexico LDPE plant
Braskem (Sao Paulo / Brazil; www.braskem.com.br) and Grupo Idesa (Mexico City / Mexico; www.idesa.com.mx) have selected “Lupotech T” technology from LyondellBasell (Rotterdam / The Netherlands; www.lyondellbasell.com) for their joint venture LDPE project in Mexico. The 300,000 t/y LDPE plant will be part of an integrated ethylene and PE complex planned by the Braskem Idesa joint venture. Located at the Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, the complex is scheduled to start up in 2015.
Braskem Idesa has already selected “Innovene S” technology from Ineos Technologies (Lyndhurst / UK; www.ineos.com) for two new HDPE plants at the complex – see Plasteurope.com of 15.11.2010.
