US specialised polymer manufacturer PolyOne Corporation (Cleveland, Ohio; www.polyone.com) has opened a new innovation centre at its German subsidiary PolyOne Th. Bergmann (Gaggenau; www.polyone-bergmann.de). The centre is to support the application development for PolyOne’s Global Speciality Platform, offering customers the chance to develop, test and optimise their processes as well as match colours.
Built at an investment cost of more than EUR 1m, the Gaggenau Innovation Centre boasts an advanced testing laboratory with processing and colour matching equipment as well as a range of computer simulation software. Altogether, PolyOne operates nine innovation centres worldwide, including in Assesse / Belgium and Cergy / France.
