Change of name from AWS Eco Plastics / New focus on good-grade rPET
AWS Eco Plastics has changed its name to ECO Plastics (Hemswell, Lincolnshire / UK; www.ecoplasticsltd.com) following an expansion of the business. The company said the rebrand reflects its growing focus on food-grade rPET.
At the end of last year, ECO Plastics opened its expanded Hemswell plastic bottle recycling plant following a fire at the site in the summer of 2009 – see Plasteurope.com of 26.11.2010. The company intends to further expand the plant’s capacity from 100,000 t/y to 140,000 t/y, including 40,000 t/y of food-grade rPET per year.
