Masterbatch producer Tosaf (Afula / Israel; www.tosaf.com) introduced three new masterbatches for food packaging films at “K 2010”. Both “AF5979PE” and “AF4953LL” prevent the formation of water droplets on multilayer PE films without impacting properties essential for lamination, printing or sealing. The company said that whereas the former offers superior optical properties, the latter exhibits better antifogging activity for LLDPE films.

Tosaf also introduced its new “AF2329CP” antifog masterbatch tailored for PP food packaging films, which it says prevents condensation of small water droplets at high and low temperatures and also exhibits excellent antifog activity over long period of time. The company added that films with AF2329CP have no food contact limitations.
