Songwon (Ulsan / Korea; www.songwonind.com) has developed a new range of UV additive solutions. “Songlight” 2790 GR and 2930 GR are 100% UV active systems consisting of blends of several additives that deliver improved UV protection of plastics compared with standard UV formulations. The manufacturer claims they are suitable for thick plastic sections, particularly in PP, where surface and colour protection are key in applications under severe UV irradiation. The new products are both available in dust free granular form allowing easy handling, conveying and processing, as well as incorporation and dispersion into polyolefins, the company said.
