BASF
High solids graft polyols introduced
BASF (Ludwigshafen / Germany; www.basf.com) has introduced the “Pluracol” 5200 series of high solids graft polyols. The first available is “Pluracol” 5250, a graft polyol for speciality slab applications. The material’s 50% solids content results in a firmer foam that can be used in high load-bearing applications. It can be customised to a lower percent solids graft polyol at the customer’s manufacturing site, if required.

Slab foam graft polyols from BASF are formulated with low volatile inhibitor components, which can reduce VOC levels in customers’ final products. The new range complements BASF’s existing “Pluracol” 4600 and 4800 series for high load bearing applications including furniture, bedding, carpet cushions and protective packaging.
