Klöckner Pentaplast (Montabaur / Germany; www.kpfilms.com) is planning to invest USD 37m (EUR 27.4m) to raise production capacity for shrink film. Tentering lines for high-performance PETG and PVC film are to be installed at the group’s sites in Rayong (Thailand) and Rural Retreat (Virginia / USA). The company says the investment will raise capacity by 15,000 t/y by spring 2011. In addition, a facility for standard PVC shrink film is to be installed at Rayong, increasing capacity by 12,500 t/y.
