Production of PP catalysts expanded in Germany

Specialty chemicals producer W.R. Grace (Columbia, Maryland / USA; www.grace.com) is expanding its production of PP catalysts in Worms, Germany to meet rising demand. Construction is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2010, with start-up scheduled for 2011. The size of the expansion was not disclosed.
Gregory Poling, W.R. Grace’s vice president, said the expansion of PP catalysts, branded “Polytrak”, will enable the company to meet the long-term needs of its customers. W.R. Grace has about 900 employees at its site in Worms, where it produces catalysts, additives and silica-based materials.
