Plasticiser DOA added to portfolio
Oxea (Oberhausen / Germany; www.oxea-chemicals.com) has added the plasticiser di-2-ethylhexyladipate (DOA) to its portfolio following the acquisition of an esters production plant in Amsterdam / The Netherlands. The company said the product is available immediately. "Our customers’ increasing demand for esters has led us to develop new products, such as our recently introduced 3G8 ester. DOA is our newest addition in this interesting field of activities,” said Miguel Mantas, Oxea’s head of sales and marketing. Oxea completed the purchase of the esters plant from ExxonMobil Chemical (Baytown, Texas / USA; www.exxonmobilchemical.com) in August 2009.
