MILACRON
US machinery giant slashes 10% of workforce
Plastics machinery manufacturer Milacron (Batavia, Ohio / USA, www.milacron.com) will eliminate some 130 positions in North America. Reports say most cuts will be made at the Batavia plant. The company said the cuts, which amount to 10% of total manpower, were implemented “to size our business appropriately for current business levels.”

Milacron filed for Chapter 11 in March and was recently sold to court-appointed debtor-in-possession financers – see Plasteurope.com of 27.07.2009.
